Location: Hazard, KY
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-time Available
Department: Behavioral Health / Autism Services
Reports To: Division Director, Child and Family Services

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Licensed Psychological Practitioner (LPP) or Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) to join our multidisciplinary team serving children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout the Hazard, Kentucky area.

This position offers the opportunity to provide both psychological testing and therapy services within a Community Mental Health Center and an Autism Clinic. The LPP will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, behavioral health professionals, medical providers, educators, and other members of the care team to provide comprehensive, evidence-based services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Provide psychological testing and evaluation for diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, and eligibility determinations. (according to licensure status)
  • Conduct autism evaluations and assessments as appropriate to training and scope of practice.
  • Administer, score, interpret, and document standardized psychological and developmental assessment measures.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy based on clinical training and patient needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment goals and evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental, behavioral, and mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Prepare clear, timely, and clinically appropriate psychological evaluation reports.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in case consultations, treatment planning, staff meetings, and other clinical activities.
  • Provide clinical recommendations to patients, families, schools, healthcare providers, and other appropriate parties.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and ongoing training.
  • Follow all applicable ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and professional regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited institution, as required for Kentucky LPP / LPA licensure.
  • Current Kentucky Licensed Psychological Practitioner (LPP) or Licensed Psychological Associate license in good standing.  3 – 5 years supervised experience preferred.
  • Experience providing psychological testing and/or psychotherapy preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or other behavioral health conditions preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment tools, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Strong clinical writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centered care.
